Cherry is a very pretty full GSD bitch, surrendered and now in kennels with the R.S.P.C.A. in Norfolk. She is three years nine months of age. She came from a turbulent background and this has affected her and so she is naturally frightened and stressed. She is hoping for a knowledgeable peaceful home, with a special owner who will gently take her back to basics.
Cherry has clearly not had the start in life that she would have wished. She has received none of the basic experience that is assumed. The RSPCA say that she is unsocialised and nervous and plays with her tennis ball obsessively, as this is how she copes with stress. However, Cherry has begun to settle and make progress. She is gaining confidence all the time and is easy to train as she is very motivated by treats. The RSPCA are confident that she will become a sweet natured companion, in a knowledgeable home, with time and patience and lots of treats!
Cherry had bonded with two members of staff who began a process of gentle training with her, but sadly, they have left and are not being replaced. She will now be even more stressed as, typical of a shepherd, she longs to bond with an owner, who will give her the love and security that she not enjoyed as yet.
Are you the special person who can give this girl what she needs?
