Charlie is a GSD X who is approx. 4 years old and a very handsome young man. He is the type of dog who likes his own space and he sometimes he doesn't like you touching his head which therein lies the problem and reason for re homing. Charlie has been a really good family dog, loved the new baby and brilliant around her but as the little one is now toddling there have been a few grumbles from Charlie and they are now finding it increasingly hard to separate and feel it isn't fair on the dog to be excluded. Charlie greeted our assessor with a bark or two, was asked to calm and came to say hello but then quickly went to his bed. Out on his walk he was manageable with a halti and didn't react to anything whilst on the roads, let off lead in the park he had no reaction to dogs in the distance and had excellent recall. Charlie can be choosy with his doggy friends (never aggressive) more likely to run away. He is absolutely fine with a family members Labrador so once introduced could live happily with a calm dog. Charlie loves to be brushed and will even bring it over to his owner to get a groom. He loves the car and is a good traveller. Charlie is a great dog who would fit into a new home where there are no small children and you can respect his space and accept he doesn't always like his head being ruffled.
