Cassie is a sweet-natured girl who has had a hard life. Aged about 6/7, she came to us in poor condition. Her coat was matted and had to be shaved around her tail; worse still, she had a chronic ear infection as a result of which she needed an operation on both ears. Cassie has had her operation and is now recovering in her foster home with two male GSDs that are being very protective of her. Despite undergoing major surgery (she was under the anaesthetic for four hours), she is already showing signs of being so much more comfortable, her tail does not stop wagging and she is trotting around without constantly having to rub her ears against something or scratch them until they bleed. She looks different as she has had her head shaved and her ears are a bit floppy, but she is still an amazingly happy girl who loves cuddles and to play with her ball. This really has been a life changing operation for Cassie and hopefully now she can live life to the full, despite now being profoundly deaf.
