Cassie - Bridport

Cassie was an owner hand in due to her high level of reactivity.

Cassie is a natural worrier and can be reactive towards strangers.

Cassie has been in rehabilitation/training where she has made great progress although she kennel guards which is not unusual for a GSD.

When she first arrived at the centre she was only handled by one person but now other staff can handle her although she won't let them into her kennel.

Poor Cassie was so fearful and traumatised when she first arrived that she was scared of all environmental triggers such as wind, noises , large open spaces, highly human fearful which she displayed through reactivity and has low level dog reactivity.

Many months have been spent helping her with her multi level issues and she is now happy to be out and about outside in a rural situation and copes with normal environmental sounds and noises

Cassie is a cuddly girl when she trusts you but again always has a little worry level sat with her and needs handling in the correct manner. She can have unknown people pass her now without reactivity and the same for dogs

She is not keen on grooming so they have had to clip off her skirt and knots over time , she will tolerate gentle brushing

Cassie needs a pet and child free home with an area to call her own to buffer her from the full on home day to day activity such as visitors etc. She must be muzzled when meeting new people and when on public ground. She will require a few meets and greets at the centre to even accept someone new and clear boundaries and parameters to work within once in a home. If Cassie feels threatened she could lash out so her new owner needs to anticipate that and not put her in situations that could scare her.

Do  you have a nice quiet home and the patience to help Cassie?
