Casey - Norfolk

Casey is a classy lady on hard times. She was bred by a well known breeder, according to her chip, but somehow was picked up as a lost dog and is now in the local pound.

Casey is like so many bitches and is not doing well in kennels. She is having three meals a day but is losing condition all the time as she is so stressed. She was taken by the police for training as a police dog but failed due to a phobia about steps. (So, she is an ideal candidate for anyone who doesn't like their dog going upstairs!) They say that, in all other respects, Casey would have been an ideal police dog.

She certainly has the energy and drive necessary for any working dog. She might be in poor condition but she is extremely bouncy and strong and she will need an experienced GSD owner. We think she will be untrained in all respects and so anyone who adopts her will have to start from the basics. We think that she would be fine with older children but not younger ones as she is so ebullient. She seems to be friendly enough with the dogs in kennels but she has not been properly dog tested.

However, the really endearing aspect of this girl is that she loves people. Your only risk factor with her is being bowled over by her loving you and being licked to death. Having said that, she needs someone who will give her the love in return that she needs - tough love! She will need to learn all about boundaries and to be taught her place in the order of things.

Can she have a place in your 'order of things'?
