Dear Callie is a very sad neglect case who recently came under the wing of GSDR.
Callie is 12 years old, and really does not deserve to be sat in kennels for the rest of her days
Callie is very underweight, and her eyes and ears aren't so good any more. Her teeth are also in bad condition and she is not spayed.
Due to her age and condition, Callie cannot undergo any aneasthetic or surgery, and just needs a comfy bed, good regular meals, and someone to love to see her through her twilight years after a life of neglect.
Callie can have her grumpy moments, but is generally a friendly,loving girl, happy to poddle about and do her own thing. She lived her life with her friend Spike... a young male border collie who also needs a home, but we know the chances of them going together are minimal, so are splitting them to give them both the best chance possible at finding their furever homes. However... if you feel you could help them both, please just let us know and this can be discussed.
Callie needs a calm home without young children, but we feel she will settle well with a calmer (neutered) male, or as an only dog.
Despite her condition, Callie is still sprightly for her age and does enjoy her walks. She walks nicely on lead now, and has little reaction to other dogs she meets.
There MUST be someone out there who can give this lovely lady the life she truly deserves.... Is that YOU???
