We received a phone call from the police to see if we could help Caser and his companion Raven after they were picked up roaming the streets.
Neither of the dogs was microchipped but It was known who the owners were, however, they did not come forward to claim these beautiful dogs.
We were told that they were brother and sister but we believe it's more likely that they are mother and son as Caesar appears to be younger.
Their coats were in a terrible matted state so they have now been groomed and are looking much better and seem happier.
These dogs are not chipped so have obviously come from a breeder here.
Caesar we think is around 18 months old and entire.
He seems more chilled than Raven and is OK with other dogs but would probably be best homed with a female. He doesn't like cats.
As a Caucasian, he would need a rural area where there is a large secured garden or land.
Caucasian Shepherds are a magnificent breed but this is not the type of dog for everyone. They are known for their strong guarding instincts, they can also be nuisance barkers.
