BUFFY - PORTSMOUTH

Well where to start.

Buffy is sadly looking for a new home as her owner is hoping to go to university and is worried that she won't have proper care being left at home. He had to drop out last year due to concerns with Buffy at home.

Buffy is vaccinated but they are not up to date, the owner is unsure if she is microchipped and she remains unspayed.

Buffy is not good with children she lives with a litter mate but is said to be reactive outside of the home, is a no to cats and is scared of livestock

Buffy was assessed out of the home as she is very protective of the home, she will jump up on the side in the kitchen and bark at the window.

The volunteer met the owner and Buffy a short walk from his home, Buffy barked and pulled on the lead to get to the volunteer and whilst the volunteer ignores her the owner tried to calm her . The owner walked her and the volunteer was slightly behind. She walks very well on a lead and although not happy with passers by does not lunge and bark. If people pass the owner will move to one side put her into a sit again with no reaction.  The owner states that she will bark at smaller dogs that are barking at her.

Buffy loves nothing more than long walks through the woods and open fields, she is never off lead but walked on a flexi lead . She hates water of any type. Buffy is said to be a sweetnatured dog in the home, apart from her dislike of visitors

If you think you can offer Buffy a home where she can relax and become the dog she deserves to be, please get in touch
