Buddy is a very large 5 year old male who is a victim of neglect out of ignorance. Buddy was bought as a puppy by disabled people in their 70's and consequently has not been given the attention and exercise that such a large dog needs. He came in seriously underweight with chronic diarhhoea, sore ears, runny eyes and overgrown claws. He weighed just 29kg when he should probably be around 45kg for his size. He has had problems with his digestive system which is being treated although Buddy may have an underlying allergy to some foods so will need to be fed either raw food or a senstive dry food. He is a wonderful example of the breed with a super temperament. He generally ignores other dogs, loves people and even greets the postie with a big waggy tail. He pulls a little on the lead and he always wants to carry his ball with him. He is a very large shepherd and when up to his full weight he is going to look magnificent.
