Buddy - Co Durham

Buddy - Co Durham
Buddy is a 1 year old bundle of fun he is big, young and bouncy. On his initial assessment he was extremely reactive and fearful to the assessor. He had only been with his owner a couple of months but unfortunately due to a change in circumstances they did not have enough time for him and he was handed over to GSDR.

Buddy is currently in foster care and although barks when people come to the door he stops on command. With regular exercise and training big Buddy is coming on leaps and bounds. He will sit for a treat and give you a paw, fully housetrained and walks well on the lead. He would benefit from further training and boundaries but he learns very quickly and likes to please. He socialises well with other dogs and although he lives with children and there are no issues, because he is big and playful he would be best suited to older children who he wouldn't knock over.

Buddy doesn't like strangers and is reactive outside. He needs experienced GSD owners who will not be intimidated by his reactivity. He is fine with his fosterer and the other dogs in the house but gets his confidence from confident handling.

Would you like a big, young traditional shepherd boy that likes fuss and games and training then this is the boy. A superb young man with a big character and eager to learn.
