This lovely boy is Bruno who is 2 years old and castrated.
Poor Bruno has been subjected to cruel abuse with an electric shock collar when very young and after his current owners purchased him at the age of 10 months, they discovered that he had been placed with 6 previous potential owners.
When our volunteer went to assess him he only met him out in the street where he snarled at him, stepped towards him and snapped. Our volunteer walked up and down the street with the owner staying out of range but after 15 minutes it was clear that
Bruno was not going to tolerate him.
The lady of the house says Bruno is very affectionate when he knows someone but in recent months he has become more aggressive which is impinging on the owner's life. They have cancelled holidays and no longer have any visitors.
Bruno lives with a female GSD with whom he gets on very well.
Our volunteer is of the opinion that Bruno although shown as the villain, is in fact, the victim of a very first cruel year in his short life.
Bruno will need a very strong and knowledgeable adopter to bring him around. Our volunteer is of the opinion that Bruno is not nasty but a terrified dog who cannot put trust in anyone outside of his home.
His current owners want Bruno out asap.
