Well meet the gorgeous Rex who is a 2 year old semi coated entire male.
Rex is a boisterous, powerful young lad who loves to play. He lives with children who he loves but he may be better with older children who are used to large, bouncy, playful dogs. He does have a tendency to playfully jump up and nip when excited and he can be dominant with visitors. This is becoming a problem for the family who have young children.
Rex is good with other dogs and he won't bother with cats unless they run and then he will give chase. He was once attacked by a Yorkie but did not retaliate. He doesn't like the vet, especially when having his claws trimmed. He has shown nervous aggression at the vets and needs to be muzzled.
Rex is used to being bathed but does try to jump out. Rex is fed on Bakers as he is lactose intolerant.
Rex has been to puppy classes, agility and obedience he has good recall with no distraction and knows all basic commands such as sit and down.
Rex is being rehomed because he is quite dominant, head strong and attention seeking. We think the problem stems from the fact that the family no longer have much time for him so he is not being walked daily, he has no direction or stimulation and is becoming bored with lots of pent up energy.
Rex tried to dominate our volunteer but as soon as he started some obedience work, he behaved brilliantly. Rex just needs someone experienced with the breed who can give him direction, exercise and further training.
Rex - lovely young shepherd that just needs direction
Lovely looking dog
