Max is a 2 year entire white male who has good basic commands and is ok on the lead but would benefit from further training as any dog his age would. He loves toys to play with including soft toys and a football.
His owners claimed there had been an incident with the teenage children he was living with but they refused to disclose the details of what happened. Prior to this Max was fine with children of all ages and very gentle with them.
Max is now in kennels where at first he was very nervous and submissive so we think something bad happened to him in his previous home. The kennel staff have coaxed him round and he has learnt to trust humans again but we will probably never know what happened to him. Therefore, certainly rehoming with young children is out of the question and Max may be better going to an adult only home.
Max is ok with other dogs but really needs further socialisation. He is ok with people coming into his home if introduced properly as he is typically protective. He is such an intelligent and loyal lad that it is our opinion that he has been the victim here.
