Bonnie is a beautiful, large, strong girl, who is a German Shepherd cross with an attractive, light tan, short coat and big ears!
She is a very affectionate dog once she trusts and knows you and loves to snuggle on the sofa watching TV!
She stands the size of a German Shepherd and was homed by us as a puppy in May 2017, along with her brother, to live with a family with children in the UK.
She was wonderful with the children in the house even though she was always a little timid and shy girl.
All was fine until the family adopted a 3rd dog that Bonnie has taken a dislike to and her behaviour was such that they had to make the painful decision to rehome her.
She is now living in foster with a male without other dogs but has been happy to meet other dogs in their own homes and she has been very calm and relaxed.
We want to look for a home with no other dogs now we know she is able to live on her own and we think with experienced GSD or large breed owners, that can spend more time and shower her with lots of love and attention.
She walks well on lead and is not too strong
This is what the family told us …………..
“We love Bonnie to bits, but she is causing tensions in the home with our other new dog, we think she needs a family to give her all their attention and love.
She is easily spooked in new environments and unfamiliar situations, but easily and quickly gains her confidence as she knows you.
She is very intelligent and responds well to training. I think if she starts a new life as an only dog she will thrive.
When Bonnie earns your trust and realises you are not a threat, she is such a loving dog. She will sit/sleep calmly on her own or snuggled up to you on the sofa if she is allowed. She will lean her whole body weight into you and give you a proper hug. She loves a belly rub and will snuggle with you.”
Bonnie walks beautify on a slip lead, she will walk side-by-side with you with no tension on the lead.

Bonnie walks beautify on a slip lead, she will walk side-by-side with you with no tension on the lead. However, if she is startled she will bolt so she can’t be let off her lead as things are. She’s not fond of dogs she doesn’t know – the vast majority of the time while out on walks, she will either be curious about other dogs from a safe distance or ignore them altogether. However, if an off-lead dog approaches her she can get scared and will try to avoid the situation.
Bonnie has been spayed and her vaccinations were last given on 11/01/22 so she is up to date. She has no other health problems.
Her Best Points :
Loves to be fussed, likes to be with children.
Walks well on the lead.
