Blue is an exceptional dog. He is 16 months old and still very much a puppy, but is an intelligent dog, already very well trained, responding to 'Sit', 'Come to me', 'Down', 'Stay', amongst other things. Good on and off the lead, but with quite a high prey drive, he needs an experienced owner to continue his development. Already weighing in at 40kg, he will be a big dog when he fills out
Blue is in fostercare with one of our volunteers, where his training is continuing and he is living with 5 other GSDs.
Blue has boundless energy and needs regular off-lead walks. Typical of a GSD, he barks when a stranger arrives at the house, but settles down immediately and wants you to be a friend who will play with him.
When he initially meets a new dog, Blue appears aggressive - he isn't, he is just unsure. Once introduced, he is fine and wants to play. We are confident he will make a fabulous pet. Because he is still a bouncy puppy, we would not rehome him where there are young children as he may knock them over in his enthusiasm.
