BLUE - KENT

Oh my goodness this gorgeous girl is very sadly looking for a new home. This is one of the most genuine rehomes that I have come across. The owners circumstances have drastically changed and although she has tried every avenue to try and keep Blue she just feels that it is not fair on her. She wants Blue to have a family around that have the time to give to her.

Good with children, dogs , never lived or been introduced to cats or livestock so we wouldn't rehome with cats.

This is what the volunteer had to say.....

A lovely young lady - not yet 2. Very distinctive colours, a small and with lovely manners in and out of the house.

In advance of arriving I was told Blue would bark a me (barks at all men when they come to the house) I ignored Blue and she did not make a noise at all. Perfect introduction. She came to check me out - quietly, calmly - well behaved and trained while still showing some signs of fun I’d expect from a 2YO.

She did not demand any attention while we did the form. When we were ready for a walk she sat nicely while awaiting the Halti to be attached. And then with interest rather than bouncy excitement we left for our walk. She ignores cars, walking nicely at or around heel without any instruction.

A dog walked past us closely in the opposite direction - Blue noticed but gave no reaction. In the park Blue spotted three other dogs some 70m away. Walked towards them but came back when called. She got progressively more adventurous until she ran towards one of the dogs. The 8/10 recall that was described is more like a 5/10 with distraction. The slightly nervous owner grabbed his spaniel to enable them to say hello - and then off they ran. Blue a bit excitable and clumsy - but nothing more than play. She does like to steal balls from other dogs - in a crafty rather than ‘aggressive' manner. Three other dogs appeared on leads - no signs of reactivity from any of the dogs. Blue was brilliantly behaved.

In summary - Due to a change of family circumstances and jobs, Blue now needs a new home. Blue has a lovely nature, loves company, and wishes to please - but she is being left too long and the caring owner recognises Blue needs a new home.

Anyone who gets to adopt this beautiful girl will be so VERY LUCKY ????
