Benjie - Northamptonshire

Are there any heroes looking for a challenge? This sweet boy is one such.

He is friendly and very affectionate. He has never shown aggression and lives with children and another dog. He is very amenable in the house, although because he is young and under exercised, he is energetic and vocal. In all of this he is being a very good boy considering how he has been brought up.

So where is the challenge?

Sadly Benjie is practically completely untrained to a lead and has no recall off lead. He is as bouncy and as untrained as a seven week old pup but he is a big strong boy. His owners cannot cope and have given up and so the vicious circle continues. Benjie is jumping out of his skin with pent up energy and boredom. And so this makes him difficult to handle. He is hard work. Although, interestingly, we are told that he walked perfectly for a police dog handler. Now there's a surprise.
