Are you an experienced owner who can give time and love to this young man?
Benji is a very handsome 3yr old lad who needs a home where he can be given more time and attention. His owners feel they are too busy with work and family commitments to respond to his needs as he deserves.
Currently Benji spends his days in an office with his owner. He needs more stimulus and would do well in a home where he is challenged by working trials, agility or something similar.
Currently, Benji lives with young children, is good with most other dogs, and has also lived with another dog. He is trained in basic obedience, responds well to commands and has good recall.
He is however a strong willed fellow with a strong guarding instinct. He has bitten once, in a guarding incident, and so he will need careful supervision and coping strategies put in place until this issue of over enthusiastic guarding has been addressed. Although Benji did bite, it was in no way beyond the norm of GSD reaction and arose from unfortunate circumstances which were not Benji's fault.
Benji needs a calm, confident, experienced owner who will guide Benji in the right direction to become the well balanced mature dog he has every capability of becoming.
