Bella is looking for a new home as she has, on two isolated occasions, badly bitten the female jack Russell she lives with. The second of these bites was over two years ago, at which point Bella’s owners decided to keep her separated from the other dogs and keep her outside. She has full run of the garden and access to a well presented outhouse with bedding. Bella’s owners are moving home shortly which will make it harder for them to keep the dogs separated and they do not feel it is fair for Bella to be isolated any more.
She gets on perfectly well with the male jack Russell in the home and show no reaction to dogs away from the property.
Bella could do well with a calm male in the home and could possibly cope with a larger breed female with an experienced owner.
Bella loves people though, as with all shepherds, can sometimes bark at strangers visiting the home. She soon settles and can be won round with a treat.
She does show some signs of nervousness, however, with some decent time and attention, she will become more confident.
Bella loves to chase a ball, though sometimes doesn’t feel like bringing it back!
She walks beautifully on lead and knows basic commands. Her current owners do not let her off lead when away from the property as her recall is selective at best.
Except for the two unusual incidents, Bella is a wonderful and well behaved girl.
She would thrive with a confident owner in an experienced home.
Are you the person to help Bella gain some more confidence?
