Bella - Port Talbot

This sweet girl is Bella who is an entire two-year-old and quite a small GSD.

When she was still a puppy, her owner became ill and could no longer walk her plus she has an autistic child who makes life difficult for Bella.

Since this happened, Bella has become nervous, unsociable and scared of strangers and reactive towards other dogs.

When our volunteer arrived, Bella was in the garden and was barking a lot. She was put on a lead but was very vocal and lunged forward but it was not aggressive and our volunteer felt comfortable the whole time she was there.

Bella listened to commands but carried on barking.

Bella needs an experienced owner with older children only. Her new owner will need to be firm but calm in order to build Bella's confidence and help her overcome her anxieties towards strangers and other dogs. She doesn't like cats.

Taken back to basics and given the right direction, Bella will be a wonderful addition to any home.
