1-year-old Bella is in urgent need of a foster or permanent home. She was rescued from a desperate situation and is now in a foster home, where she has settled well and has become calmer and trusting of her fosterer, but when she first came to the Rescue she was incredibly fearful. She is clean in the house and sleeps in the kitchen through the night without a murmur. She responds well to a ball or treats. She is currently living with an older male GSD who tolerates her attempts to dominate, but is learning the meaning of the word ‘No’.
However, her fosterer is not in the best of health and struggles to handle Bella when meeting other dogs and people as she has had no socialisation, as a consequence of which she is reactive.
Bella needs an experienced handler, who has the time and energy to teach her and further build her confidence. Ideally, living with an older, confident male GSD or as the only dog would be beneficial.
If you are interested in Bella, you may need to meet her several times before she will fully accept you.
