BELLA - EAST SUSSEX

Well where do we start with this young lady..... Bella was now had 3 homes and is sadly looking for her final home. This poor girl must be wondering what she has done wrong.

The present adopters have put in a lot of work with boundaries and sociability and Bella has bonded very closely with the female in the home. Sadly not all members of the family are on board with Bella being there and this is the reason for her needing a new home.

Bella is still exciteable but has been taught control. She was extremely well behaved and sat quietly whilst the volunteer was chatting. She came for a fuss and a treat but was very well mannered.

She hasn't really been around children, so we would suggest adults only or older children who have an understanding of bouncy GSD's.

She currently lives with another dog  and off lead is said to just want to play with all dogs that she meets. On lead she is generally on 2 legs lunging at other dogs, as you can imagine this would put most people off but in her defence it is just the frustration of not being able to get to her new found friends to play. Her recall without distraction is very good, when distractions are there she has selective hearing.

Meeting people in the home will be a work in progress. With the majority of people she is absolutely fine but sometimes she has a moment and barks and runs towards them. Is this because she senses they are nervous, we don't know but it is something that can be worked on.

In short this lovely lady really needs a home with understanding that she is not perfect/ She has worked hard to get better and really tries. There are just a few things that need work and if you are willing to put in the effort she will be the most amazing companion.
