Bear- Central Bedfordshire

Gorgeous Bear who is 3 years old entire male is looking for a new home due to marriage breakdown. His current owners bought him off a couple in their 70s over a year ago who found Bear too big.

Bear will need an experienced GSD owner.

He is currently not being walked due to being too big and strong for the owner. He does suffer from separation anxiety and will be destructive and barks when left alone. He does not sleep at night. We are looking for an owner who is at home all day and has no other animals and older children only. They would need to be prepared to train and help Bear with his separation anxiety and set boundaries. This boy has so much potential with the right owner, in the right home.

Bear is used to children but is boisterous and can easily knock them over. He does jump up and barge. He is a gentle giant who does not know his size. He loves the attention and can be needy.

Bear used to live with two dogs in his first home. He has not lived with another dog since and has reacted to other dogs while out on walks.

Our volunteer walked Bear while carrying out the dog assessment. He can be anxious when leaving the house and does pull on the lead. He wears a dog matic so it can be controlled but will need to be trained to learn how to walk properly on a lead.
