Barney is an 18 month old black and tan long haired castrated vacinnated and microchipped young man.
He is sadly looking for a new home as his owner has been made homeless and his friend cannot care for him.
He is said to be good with children, but not with dogs or cats. He tried to chase the ducks.
The volunteer was greeted by Barney who jumped all over her, he was like a demented lunatic and she eventually asked that he was removed from the room. She didn't think he was a nasty dog just overwhelming.
Barney has no boundaries and has had no training. WE don't believe that they have had any mental or physical stimulation and we suspect that they are spending too many hours locked in a crate as the person caring for them is struggling.
Out of the home Barney was calm and quiet. He is walked on a head collar.
In short this is an urgent request for a home. We feel Barney is young enough to change and learn how to behave in the home. We also believe with the right training, mental and physical stimulation he will become a lovely all round boy. Whilst reactive to other dogs it is likely to be that he hasn't been correctly socialised.
Is anyone out there up for a challenger, Barney would really appreciate it
