Axel is a 4 year old neutered boy who is fantastic in the house and brilliant around the children, however he is becoming far too aggressive when out walking since he was attacked by another dog and owners are struggling to give this boy the exercise he deserves. Our volunteer knocked at the door and heard him bark, Axel was behind a baby gate, once she was settled in her seat Axel was allowed in and he gave her a good once over, even down to checking her breath. Axel was more than happy to meet this stranger and have a belly rub. When out for a walk our volunteer only saw a cat on a wall and although interested Axel didnt react and sadly no other animals were seen, therefore his aggression wasnt witnessed on this occasion. However he was really well behaved and didnt react to traffic, push chairs, passersby. We think Axel will need a confident new owner, someone to give him assurance its okay to be around other dogs.
