Ares - Romania

This beautiful much-loved boy is Ares who sadly is looking for a new home because his mom is terminally ill and does not have long to live.

He is 6 yrs old, un neutered at this point but will be neutered before travelling. Ares is very intelligent and well educated (he is educated in English language, he knows all the commands in English, not Romanian), he adores kids, loves cats, sociable with other dogs but in the last 6 months because of not being socialised anymore only taken on short walks for strictly his necessities, he has energy and frustration accumulated and can snap at other dogs.

But all his life up to this last 6 months he was great and playful to other dogs so it's a matter of temporary frustration

Ares also senses his Mom is ill and it makes him very stressed, frustrated and depressed

Every week the Emergency Ambulance comes and takes his Mom for the night when she makes another crisis...and he howls his suffering all night long. He is hurting a lot

His mom knows it would be difficult to find a loving home for him in Romania so she wants to set him free to someone who can offer him all that she can't anymore: love, a normal dog life with walks, running and consuming his energy, etc

She spent all she saved during a lifetime of work on medicine for herself so she can't even feed him properly anymore. She spends most of her day helpless in bed and Ares is with her - in a small apartment.

She is at the mercy of neighbours to come take him out so he can go to the toilet.

His mom treated him like her child ever since he was a puppy and they have a strong bond...she is aware he deserves better than this and is willing to let him go but only to good hearted people. He is used to sleeping in bed that's how he slept all his life so kennels would not be good for him.

His mum will only let him go to a good family who will help him get over the loss of his mom and love him for the rest of his days

He is half German Shepherd half Belgian Shepherd (Malinois)

His father, the Malinois,  who also belonged to this lady, was 6 years in a row champion.

Ares is very sweet and a gentleman...well trained, he will make a wonderful family pet.

Ares loves his sofa.
