Ando is looking to be re-homed due to owners new working hours and he is being left for long periods.
Ando is used to being the only dog in the home and we are told that he can be protective but absolutely fine with people he knows. He greeted our assessor with a lot of sniffing but soon settled and when taken out for a walk was a very calm boy and walked passed pedestrians, cycles, traffic with no response and although he eyed a passing dog, with a slight correction on the lead he walked on beautifully.
Ando when arriving back home was happy to get his ball and just wanted to play.
Ando has had a quiet life with current owner and isn't used to many visitors or children.
Outside he is walked in a muzzle as owner feels it is safer for them both (Ando can be wary as sadly been set upon by other dogs in the past). If he does go off lead he stays very close to his owner.
Our volunteer thought he was a lovely handsome boy who would make a very good companion for adult only home.
