Amber was a friendly dog from the first moment she cast her eyes on our volunteer. She approached him for a stroke and then brought her ball to play. Taking the ball out of Ambers mouth was no problem - no aggression at all.
Unfortunately, Amber has not been out for a walk for over 2 years due to her owners ill health. This was quite evident when our volunteer took her for a walk. She became very excited and 'pulled like a train'. In the end though she did walk to heel.
Amber has lots of contact with the owners grandchildren. aged between 2 and 11 years. She is very good with them which was evident whilst our volunteer was present. Amber did bite someone over 2 years ago. Why the owner does not know. She had been left with 2 strangers and we think they must have done something to her. She had never bitten before and has not since.
Even though Amber is 8 years of age she is still very young at heart. She will make a lovely companion for the right person.
