Allen is a lovely young cross breed. A GSD crossed with we don't know.
The volunteer arrived to no barking. Allen was in a sit in the kitchen and didn't move until the door was closed, he then approached for a cursory sniff that wasn't intrusive. Whilst the paperwork was being completed he sat nicely next to the volunteer, obviously wanting attention but when not getting it he went and settled down.
Whilst he may not look like a GSD his character and personality is very much a GSD. He has that beautiful head tilt amd the vocality when he wants something. He walks lovely with treats, doesn't pull too hard on the lead.
He can be reactive to some dogs, mainly when they stare at him, but he plays well with dogs that he knows. He can be a little over the top in his excitement but we thing that this is due to a lack of socialisation. Just a boistrous youngster that needs some manners when meeting other dogs.
He is also very good with the resident child.
In short a fabulous boy with all the best traits of a GSD, an eagerness to please and the intelligence to learn., just not quite a full GSD. PLease don't let this put you off, he will make a wonderful companion.
