CD Abandoned Dog
You have been deceived!
April 2007 - We have been informed that CD is no longer on the estate. We have no further details as to his whereabouts yet, but we will keep you informed. This is CD after his ordeal
The SSPCA claimed our photographs were 'vastly out-of-date and depict a situation that no longer exists due to Scottish SPCA action.' These photographs were taken 20th Feb 2007. See if you can see how life has improved dramatically for CD!
We spoke to workmen clearing rubbish from the estate and asked them if they knew about CD. They referred to him as 'the guys guard dog, the guard dog with no teeth'. They also claimed that they hadn't seen the dogs owner for days. According to the SSPCA - 'The Inspector found that the owner visits Kyle every day, often twice a day and for lengthy periods. He also provides fresh food and water'.
There was no evidence of fresh food and water when we visited.
Telephone 0131 339 0222 or email and complain to the Scottish SPCA. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT. Want to have your say about the Scottish SPCA
Now remember that the SSPCA said that CD was not a guard dog
We seem to recall that the law says that if you put up signs warning about a dog - then it is a guard dog.
But wait - here is the Vet Report stating he is a guard dog!
There is no practice stamp or headed notepaper from the veterinary practice and she doesn't sign her surname - how very strange. His body score is only 60% and she deems this acceptable. Bear in mind that the day she visited she had a pre-arranged appointment with the owner, so of course, he wouldn't have tidied the place or the dog up now would he? 'The owner assured me that he visits the dog on a daily basis' - and she believed him!!!
CD's 5 star home
The blue enclosure which is approx 5ft high is his home and that's all he sees - blue plastic sheeting, but then nobody walks past, nobody talks to him. The house has not been lived in for around 5years so why does the owner of the dog keep him here and why does he keep coming back. Exactly why is CD there? What is he guarding?
CD has some new toys
Children's toys piled up in an old tyre - CD doesn't seem impressed, the toys are untouched. Mind you the yard has been cleared a bit, the old trailer removed. The poo is still there though.
CD peers through a small hole in the plastic sheeting
This is the only view out that CD has. He was pacing in circles when we were there and the SSPCA claim this dog is not suffering mental cruelty.
CD's face says it all - please help me!
How can anyone that knows this intelligent breed agree that this is an acceptable life for this german shepherd? The new Animal Welfare Act is not being implemented correctly and has failed this poor dog.
