Tyler German Shepherd

Tyler - painfully thin, needs TLC

Tyler belonged to a junkie and has been living on the streets rough.

Tyler - how could you resist him?

Tyler is an entire male and is currently living in a foster home where he has settled quickly.  Tyler is house trained which is excellent as he has spent most of his life living on the streets, considering the hard life he has had so far he is extremely affectionate and loves a fuss.  He does show signs of nervous aggression by growling as he has never really been given the opportunity to learn social skills.  However, he is very intelligent and is picking up the skills he needs to show affection quickly as he has been used to use growling as a way for any communication.

Tyler - handsome laddie

He will need an experienced owner that will show him the boundaries he needs.  He is currently living with 2 other GSD’s and is good with older children.  He does bark whenever someone comes to the door but is ok with strangers when introduced properly.  He will also bark when he is outside and wants to come in as he sees being left outside for too long as a punishment

Tyler is currently very underweight but is eating well and slowly gaining weight, he has been for a grooming session and his long fur smells sweet and is no longer matted.  The abscess on his neck is currently being treated with antibiotics and is getting better daily.

Tyler loves his walks and he does walk nicely on the lead, however, when you are getting ready to go out he will go and get his lead himself and take it to the front door.  When you have put his lead on he does have a habit of jumping up and pulling the lead from your hand with his paw, he will not do this if you hold the lead on a short tight reign until you get outside.
